I agree. The enterprise needs have a flexible approach to how they deal with it. It’s better to have a “safe” place for folks to play which might mean standing up some infrastructure and tools but if they do nothing you’re by default tempting your team members to share company data outside of secure boundaries.
So the balance is how to balance the cost of tools and infrastructure with the risk of leaking confidential data.
Policies and governance will only go so far and blocking everything will only frustrate real opportunities.
